Co-Founder, Mass Participation World
A 30-year veteran of the mass participation sports events industry, Chris was born in Zimbabwe where he grew up on a farm he organized his first fun run at the age of 16 to help raise funds for the resurfacing of his school “cinder” athletics track.
From there, he moved to University in South Africa where he cut his teeth in the industry and spent as much time organising and working on events, like the world famous Comrades marathon and South African Marathon Championships as he did studying for his Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Agricultural Management Degrees.
After leaving university he spent four years traveling through Europe, America, Asia and Australia before settling in Sydney in 1989 where he founded Spectrum Worldwide.
One of his career highlights came in the year 2000 when Chris worked on the Sydney Olympics as the Road Events Supervisor.
In 2002 he expanded the business to Singapore to deliver the inaugural JP Morgan Corporate Challenge. Spectrum Worldwide now delivers some of the regions largest mass participation sports events including the Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore (55,000) runners and the Cycle Asia network of events that attracts nearly 25,000 cyclists to events in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Australia.
Chris sold Spectrum Worldwide to IRONMAN in 2016 and founded Mass Participation Asia, an annual conference for stakeholders across the mass participation sports industry to get together with the objective of fostering collaboration and driving best practices.
Today, Mass Participation Asia has been rebranded to Mass Participation World to reflect its global objectives where Chris provides consulting services to events, brands, and governments on top of creating mass participation IP. He is also an avid presenter at conferences and provides mentorship to other business owners and entrepreneurs through the renowned accelerator programme, Key Person of Influence. Business aside, Chris is an advisory board member of Free to Shine, a Cambodian charity that helps prevent sex trafficking of young girls.
Chris is passionate about all sports, especially cycling and running and the fact that he has taken part in so many events as a participant gives him a unique insight into what his customers want.
There are very few people with Chris’s depth and breadth of knowledge in the mass participation sports industry.
Vice President, Running USA
Christine is the Vice President of Programming, Operations & Partnerships for Running USA and has been with the organization since 2010. Her expansive role includes the planning and production of the Running USA annual conference, which is the largest global running industry gathering and will celebrate its 15th year in 2018. Additionally, Christine is responsible for many of Running USA's strategic partnerships and sponsor relationships.
She is a marathon runner, mother of three, and has a professional background in corporate process management.
Director, Dirigo Events
With about 20 years of event management experience, Gloria has organised a wide array of events from product launches, roadshows, conferences, fund-raisers to sold-out international concerts and sporting events.
After graduating from Deakin University in Melbourne, Gloria came home and continued to make headway in the events industry in Malaysia and co-founded Dirigo Events in 2011 where she is now a director. Dirigo Events is the owner and organiser of the Standard Chartered KL Marathon which attracts 35,000 runners from around the world annually.The Standard Chartered KL Marathon is the proud winner of the Kuala Lumpur Mayor’s Tourism award 2014 for best tourism event.
Race Director, Asia Spartan Race
Dave is a veteran of the TV sports and events industry with over 30 years experience. Born in the South of England into a family of Rugby and Cricket fanatics he managed to be enthusiastically mediocre at both but soon found his real calling up to his knees in Mud in the green lanes of Sussex. After starting his career as a Director with London Weekend Television he followed it up with spells at the European Sports Network and Chrysalis Sport producing Hockey, Golf, Speedway, Goodwill Games and International Boxing. After a chance trip to Turkey and South America on the Land Rover Camel Trophy ignited the flame of a wander lust he packed his bags and got as far away from Home as he could on one plane hop…well almost.
Moving to Hong Kong in 1995 to join the fledging Star Sports Network he has since charted a roller coaster ride thru the growth and development of Sports TV in Asia. From the HK Rugby Sevens, Cricket Sixes, Beach Volleyball in Victoria Park, Racing in Macua, and Golf in China to Football and Basketball in Lebanon, Internationa Cricket in Nepal, more Football on remote Philippines and Pacific Islands, Boxing at the Beijing Olympics, Kick Boxing in Tokyo, Squash in Grand Central Station, X Games and Beach Games in Thailand, Table Tennis in Dubai and even back to the mother land for the London Olympics. All the time craving participation and not just observer status he continued to embarrass himself on the Moto X, Go Kart and Off Road 4x4 Racing circuits of Malaysia and Singapore as a very enthusiastic amateur. In between all the sport he managed to direct a few rock concerts and game shows, get married and start a family. The later being the greatest achievement of his life.\
From Producer / Director he moved on upwards to Broadcast Operations, Executive Producer and finally World Broadcast Consultant to several world and regional sports governing bodies including BWF, ITTF, PSA, and AIBA. Adding Sports Presentation, Social Media, Streaming, Event Management and Course design and Construction to his toolbox in more recent years he has finally returned to his first love, the great outdoors. You can now find him on the the muddy forest trails and urban jungles of South East Asia. Currently Race Director for Asia Spartan Race the local licensee for Spartan International in Malaysia and Singapore he spends his days finding ever increasing ways to challenge his fellow humankind. He has been involved from the very first foray for the brand in 2015 to its recent expansions across Asia. In 30 years in the business he can honestly say OCR has to be the hardest and most rewarding sport and event he has ever been involved in. Even in compression socks he is still an enthusiastic amateur.

He is currently the Global Head of Digital Sales for the International Cricket Council as well as a Founding Partner of Picture Board Pte Ltd.
With over 15 years of digital experience, Unmish has a deep understanding of the production, distribution and licensing of sport and news content genres, having worked for large organizations such as News Corp, Fox Sports Asia and ESPN STAR Sports to name a few.
Unmish is active in the startup & incubation space in Singapore & India via Picture Board, his private vehicle that advises & invests founders and principal investors in early stage businesses.A thought leader in his space, Unmish also regularly presents and speaks at conferences on a wide variety of topics.
CEO, Professional Triathletes Organisation
Sam Renouf is CEO of Professional Triathletes Organisation, based in London, UK. Prior to that, he was the CEO at Motiv Group, a global mass participation business with over 300,000 participants at events including Sydney Marathon, Malibu Triathlon and Surf City Marathon.
He was also the General Manager of ACTIVE Network’s sports business where he was responsible for leading all customer-facing aspects within the market, including sales, marketing, strategy and business operations. Sam has spent over 17 years in the Endurance Sports industry, including representing Great Britain as an elite athlete for triathlon and as a commentator at the 2012 Olympic Games.
Sam holds a BSc from Loughborough University and an MBA from London Business School.

Wilfred Steven Uytengsu is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Alaska Milk Corporation (AMC), a leading milk company in the Philippines.
He is also President of GenOSI, the exclusive supplier of meat products for the McDonald’s chain of restaurants in the Philippines.
He was born in Cebu City, Philippines in 1961. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Entrepreneurship Program) from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in 1983. While in college, he was captain of the USC men’s swimming team and a member of the Beta Theta Phi Fraternity. He was also a member of the Philippine National Swimming Team and competed in the 1981 South East Asian Games.
Mr. Uytengsu was named the Philippines’ Ernst & Young 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year in awards held in Manila last February 5, 2008 in conjunction with the SGV Foundation. He was recognized for his achievements in expanding, developing and professionalizing AMC’s systems to become one of the most respected and well-governed companies in the Philippines. In addition, Mr. Uytengsu was also awarded the Master Entrepreneur for exemplifying sound management practices in the areas of finance, shareholder value, corporate governance, marketing, human resources and sales as well as fostering strong relationship with his employees, customers, suppliers and shareholders.
Mr. Uytengsu was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year with his brother Michael in 2013 by the University of Southern California’s Lloyd Grief Center for Entrepreneurship.
As part of Alaska Milk’s franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association through the Alaska Aces, Mr. Uytengsu served as a two time Chairman of the League and was awarded the Executive of the Year in 2016. The Alaska Aces have won 14 titles in their 30-year history under Mr. Uytengsu’s leadership.
Mr. Uytengsu is a member of the internationally recognized World Presidents’ Organization (WPO). He has also served as International Chairman of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) from 2002-2003, and was the first Asian member to do so in the organization’s 55 year history.
Mr. Uytengsu is a two-time Ironman World Championship finisher in Kona, Hawaii. He is married to the former Kerri Elaine Dunn and has three children.

Josh is the foermer CEO of GroupM's Content business across Asia (WPP) - the world's largest media management, planning, and buying group. He led a team of over 350+ people across 16 markets in Asia.
Before joining GroupM Josh spent 10 years working at PepsiCo International in various regional Brand Marketing roles and has lived and worked in Bangkok, Singapore, Sydney, Manila and Hong Kong.
In 2017, Josh founded 247X Group - a media, sports, health, and capital business which serves clients including one of Indonesia's biggest brands, two of the world's largest digital media businesses, a private-public consortium in China, and one of North America's fastest growing life sciences company.
